About the Exhibition

From November 14 to 17, the 43rd Philippine Power and Energy Exhibition (IEEE) was held in Manila, and CEEG attended by invitation. The exhibition is organized by the Institute of Integrated Electrical Engineers of the Philippines, Inc. (IEEE), the most representative industry association in the Philippines. After 42 years of development, it has become the largest and most professional power and energy exhibition in the country.

At the Exhibition

The exhibition brought together 230 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, including internationally renowned names such as GE, ABB, CHINT, SUNERTECH and PANASONIC, alongside well-known Philippine power companies including Asiaphil Group, Koten, AWS Dist, Cooper Industries International, Danitech Power System and PrimePower Energie System (Himoinsa).

CEEG Promotion Session

The Philippines is a key market for CEEG's overseas sales, and projects the company has supplied and put into operation include the Greenfield 14.5MW and 20MW [NET] steam turbine genset projects. At this exhibition, two of CEEG's major Philippine partners — the SM Group and Filinvest — also exhibited. The SM Group comprises seven listed companies and is one of the largest listed companies in the Philippines: SM Prime, known across Southeast Asia (originating from Shoemart, also known as the ShoeMart holding), operates in fields including shopping mall development and management (SM MALL), retail (SM department stores, SM supermarkets, SM toy megastores and more), entertainment (SM cinemas, SM food courts, SM bowling alleys and more), banking, real estate and manufacturing. Filinvest is engaged in real estate development and leasing, housing sales, and hotel and resort management, and also provides financial, commercial banking and information technology services as well as oil refining businesses.

During the exhibition, CEEG's overseas sales team held two promotion sessions in the exhibition's meeting rooms, giving senior leaders and technical staff of the SM Group and Filinvest, as well as prospective customers visiting the show, a detailed introduction to CEEG's development history, business structure, strategic direction and the performance and advantages of its main products. The team also exchanged views with customers on expanding CEEG's sales channels in the Philippine market, cooperation models and industry practices, reaching a shared commitment to further friendly cooperation and to actively advancing project implementation.

On November 20, Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to the Philippines, as China-Philippines relations moved from a "turnaround" over the past two years to "consolidation," and rose further to "enhancement" this year. Before the visit, President Xi published a signed article in the local media titled "Jointly Opening a New Future for China-Philippines Relations," describing in nine characters how bilateral relations have changed since President Duterte took office: "After weathering storms, we see the rainbow again." The deeper, friendlier development of bilateral relations is sure to further support CEEG's business expansion in the Philippine market.
