Megawatt-Level Ultra-Fast Charging Solution
For heavy trucks, mining trucks, ports, and large charging hubs, CEEG's megawatt flash charging substation connects directly to the 10kV medium-voltage grid and integrates transformation, rectification, power conversion, power distribution, and charging control. It supports up to 2.5MW output with flexible multi-terminal charging, helping sites reduce equipment and footprint, shorten construction, and lower operating losses.
Four things high-power charging stations fear most
- When high-voltage cabinets, transformers, rectifier cabinets, and power cabinets are procured separately, civil works, installation, and commissioning multiply. More distribution links means a longer build cycle and a station that sits idle before it can operate.
- A traditional distribution room plus multiple cabinet sets demands a larger equipment area and cable corridors. On a site where space is at a premium, scattered equipment means a bigger footprint and a harder layout.
- Vehicles charge at high frequency every day, so the longer the conversion chain from grid to battery, the more every loss accumulates over time — directly raising the station's operating cost.
- Heavy trucks and mining trucks carry large batteries and charge slowly. If charging power cannot keep up, vehicles queue and wait, directly hurting transport turnover and fleet availability.
One integrated system, covering the whole chain from the 10kV grid to the vehicle battery
The 10kV medium-voltage direct-connect architecture feeds the 10kV grid straight in, removing traditional multi-stage distribution. This lowers line losses while significantly reducing equipment footprint.
Multi-winding phase shifting and multi-pulse rectification improve harmonic behaviour at the front end of power conversion, holding THDi within 3% to meet the power quality that high-power charging equipment demands.
PWM active rectification and high-efficiency DC/DC power units deliver efficient conversion and a wide DC 200–1000V output range, reaching a combined system efficiency of 96.5%.
System output reaches 2.5MW to meet the fast-charging needs of large-capacity batteries in heavy and mining trucks. Two liquid-cooled ultra-fast and four air-cooled fast terminals allocate power dynamically to match vehicle demand.
High-voltage, transformation, power conversion, and control systems are all prefabricated in the factory, so on-site work mainly covers high-voltage connection and terminal wiring. This reduces civil works, installation, and commissioning, shortening a typical build to 7–14 days.
