Uniting Strength and Empowerment, Rowing Hard and Setting Sail | CEEG Successfully Holds the Second Session of the Fifth Workers' Congress

Uniting hearts and strengths for development; summoning energy for a new journey.On June 13, the Second Session of the Fifth Workers' Congress of CEEG was successfully held in Nanjing. Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, and centered on the speeches and strategic direction of Chairman Lu, the congress focused on meeting uncertainty with certainty, bearing in mind the three key tools for crossing business cycles, staying data-driven, and pursuing new growth. With the aims of gathering employees' views, pooling collective wisdom, and uniting hearts, it sought to use emancipated thinking to push reform deeper and practice further into innovation — truly breaking new ground in thinking, breaking through in action, exerting force in reform, and achieving breakthroughs in development — providing strong spiritual momentum for CEEG's high-quality development.

The congress comprehensively reviewed the company's business and development achievements, analyzed the current situation, and laid out key work priorities. A total of 48 employee representatives attended, including workers, technical personnel, management staff, company leaders, and employees from other areas. Frontline workers accounted for more than 50% of the representatives, female employees 47%, company leaders 13%, and technical personnel 10%.

Sun Ronggui, Chairman of the CEEG Labor Union, delivered the labor union work report, while Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Lian Junshan presided over the congress and delivered an address on behalf of the Party Committee.

CEEG Labor Union Work Report

Union Chairman Sun Ronggui delivered the Labor Union Work Report. He said that, with the attention and support of Chairman Lu, the union has upheld the working philosophy of "employees first, the grassroots as the priority, and development first." All union officers and staff have stepped forward with unity and dedication, carrying out their work around leveraging the union's role as a bridge to promote harmonious labor relations; caring for employees' needs and well-being to bring new vitality to workplace harmony; enhancing employees' sense of gain to empower the company's high-quality development; and safeguarding the lawful rights and interests of female employees and protecting women's health and other aspects.

Mr. Sun stated that the union's next direction is to be guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the CPC, fully implement the decisions and arrangements of higher-level union federations, and advance innovative union work in line with the new situation, new mission, and new requirements — maintaining the keynote of stability and the resolve to break new ground, solidly carrying out democratic management, work safety, risk prevention, and other work, and building a distinctive union work system with broad reach that serves employees, so that work delivers results, the organization stays vibrant, and services become more effective — striving for the high-quality development of union work in the new era.

CEEG Congress Review

Leng Jun of the Funds Review Committee presented the Funds Review Report; Dong Nan, head of the Human Resources Center, explained the revisions to the Employee Handbook; and Yu Miao, head of the Finance Center, reported on and explained the Financial Management System and the Payment Collection Management System. After deliberation and democratic voting by the employee representatives, the Labor Union Work Report, Funds Review Report, Employee Handbook, Financial Management System, and Payment Collection Management System were unanimously approved.

CEEG Party Committee Address

Lian Junshan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of CEEG, congratulated the congress on its successful convening and delivered an address on behalf of the Party Committee.

Deputy Secretary Lian said that the workers' congress was a meeting that united hearts and pursued new, practical goals, as well as one that boosted morale and inspired endeavor. As the foundation and source of strength of the company's development, employees should take the lead in executing strategy, fully and accurately understanding the company's strategic intent to ensure that decisions are implemented and deliver results; take the lead in bringing self-driven initiative to their roles, tackling work challenges with the determination of "a hundred boats competing, a thousand sails racing"; and take the lead in being employees' trusted support, adhering to a people-centered work approach, serving employees with dedication and care, and continuously pushing CEEG's cause to new heights!

Finally, Deputy Secretary Lian set out four work requirements for all employees:

1. Overcome difficulties and stay confident in development. The company is at a critical stage of "growing through data and advancing through innovation," and everyone must comprehensively improve their capabilities to support the company's high-quality development.

2. Strengthen learning and hone solid skills. Turn learning outcomes into concrete actions and tangible results that push the company's high-quality development deeper, so as to better meet the needs of the company's growth.

3. Strive for excellence and keep forging ahead. Foster a positive environment in which people want to work, are able to work, and work hard and pragmatically, ensuring that every task is implemented quickly and executed effectively.

4. Collaborate as one and build combined strength. Fully carry forward the spirit of teamwork among employees, form a company-wide "grand collaboration" pattern of quality and efficiency improvement, and continuously strengthen the cohesion, alignment, and fighting spirit of the team.
