CEEG Shines at the 2024 China Industrial Transfer Development Matchmaking Event (Guangxi)

Earnest expectations carry great weight, and the moment calls for determined effort. In December 2023, during an inspection of Guangxi, General Secretary Xi Jinping emphasized the need to "proactively serve major national strategies, align with the new industrial layout of developed coastal regions, and orderly undertake the gradient transfer of industries."

Gathering in Nanning for a Grand Event

From June 15 to 17, the keenly anticipated 2024 China Industrial Transfer Development Matchmaking Event (Guangxi) was held in Nanning. Under the theme "Building a Business-Friendly Location and Creating a New Future for Industrial Cooperation", the event focused on the major missions assigned to Guangxi by the state. It aimed to make full use of national policies, build border- and port-adjacent industrial parks, guide industries to cluster in these parks, build cross-regional and cross-border industrial chains, and accelerate the creation of a major strategic hinterland for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The event was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the People's Government of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. Jin Zhuanglong, Party Group Secretary and Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Liu Ning, Party Secretary of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Standing Committee of its People's Congress, attended the opening ceremony and delivered addresses. Lan Tianli, Deputy Party Secretary of the Autonomous Region and Chairman of the Autonomous Region, presided over the opening ceremony. Shan Zhongde, member of the Party Group and Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, attended the event.

Numerous corporate representatives and industry experts gathered to discuss new trends and opportunities in industrial transfer and development. The event comprised one comprehensive activity, four themed matchmaking sessions, and one field-visit activity, centered on Guangxi's distinctive competitive industries — advanced equipment manufacturing, new materials, electronic information, and light industry and textiles — with city presentations, government-business matchmaking, field visits, expert briefings, and project signings.

02 Invited to Attend, Discussing Development Together

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee Lian Junshan attended the event on behalf of the company and was invited in turn to the dinner gathering of Guangxi Nanning Rail Transit Group, the dinner gathering of key enterprises hosted by the Nanning Municipal Party Committee and Government, and the advanced equipment manufacturing matchmaking session. At the event, he gave a detailed account of CEEG's more than three decades of development and scope of business, and cited the company's track record in Guangxi. CEEG has supplied Guangxi Road Construction Group, Guangxi Transportation Science & Technology Group, Guangxi Power Grid, the Guangxi Machinery Industry Research Institute, Guangxi Guotai Electric Power, Nanning Qiaodun Electric, and other major companies. CEEG transformers are applied in Yulin Normal University, the Liuzhou Wuling automotive engineering project, and the transformer replacement project of the Guangxi Department of Finance.

CEEG is supporting Guangxi in building a comprehensive, open transportation network oriented "southward, northward, eastward, and westward," and its products have successfully won bids for the Nanning–Bobai Nabu section of the Zhanjiang highway project, the Tiandong–Daxin Expressway electromechanical engineering project, the Guanyang–Pingle Expressway project, the Pingnan–Wuxuan Expressway project, and the Wujiatun Tunnel electromechanical equipment project of the Guilin–Liuzhou expansion project, among other major construction projects.

Finally, Secretary Lian expressed his hope to join hands with all colleagues present to work together on development plans, write new chapters of cooperation, expand market space, and create a better future!

Responding to the Call, Deepening Cooperation

CEEG has always followed national energy strategy and industry development trends. In response to the transformation and upgrading needs of the power industry in Guangxi and across the country, the company will actively answer the national call, deepen its cooperation with Guangxi, and promote in-depth collaboration in power equipment, new energy development, and industrial chain synergy — jointly opening a new chapter in green energy.

In power equipment, Guangxi and the ASEAN region are actively advancing multiple new rail transit projects. These projects demand large volumes of power equipment and impose high technical requirements, providing broad market opportunities for CEEG. As Guangxi's rail transit network continues to improve, some older equipment needs upgrading and renovation, and CEEG can leverage its technological strength and product quality advantages to provide premium upgrading and renovation services for rail transit in Guangxi and ASEAN.

In new energy, as the world places growing importance on green energy, the sector has become a key development direction for the power equipment industry, and Guangxi and ASEAN are actively developing new energy industries such as photovoltaic power generation, wind power, and integrated energy storage units. Keeping pace with industry trends, CEEG has taken a forward-looking position on the "energy storage + new energy" track, continuously supporting the construction of the new-type power system with new technologies and products. To date, the company has established a new green, low-carbon industrial layout represented by transformers and transmission & distribution equipment, wind-solar-storage-hydrogen, and intelligent power distribution systems, meeting market demand for green, environmentally friendly power equipment.

Looking ahead, CEEG will continue to cultivate the Guangxi market, actively participate in power infrastructure construction and new energy development, and actively seek cooperation opportunities with local Guangxi enterprises to jointly build the power industry chain.
