New Battlefield, New Achievements | CEEG Holds an 'August 1st' Veterans Representative Symposium

Staying true to our original aspiration and writing a new chapter of glory.To carry forward the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, foster patriotism, care for veterans and strengthen employees' sense of identity and belonging with the company, CEEG held a symposium for veteran employees on August 1 at its Nanjing Operations Center. The meeting was chaired by Lian Junshan, Deputy Secretary of the CEEG Party Committee and Director of the General Office, and attended by Assistant President Gao Xiang.

On behalf of the company and Chairman Lu, Secretary Lian first extended high respect and sincere holiday wishes to the attending representatives. He said that veterans have demonstrated, through concrete actions, the true character of servicemen — "leaving the ranks without forgetting their roots, retiring without fading, and changing posts without changing their aspirations" — and that they form an outstanding CEEG group that is "disciplined in style, strong in image, always ready, dependable, good at tackling tough challenges and willing to take responsibility."

Revisiting Military Service, Envisioning the Future

The veteran representatives looked back on their years of service and recalled life in the armed forces, sharing their joy and achievements as well as their sense of duty and commitment. Many said they would continue to carry forward the fine traditions of loyalty, responsibility, teamwork, perseverance and self-discipline, contributing their share to CEEG's high-quality development.

Continuing the Endeavor, Achieving New Success

CEEG now stands at a new historical starting point. Facing increasingly fierce market competition and the pressing need for transformation and upgrading, all CEEG employees need to pull together and forge ahead.

Director Gao said, veterans are an important part of the company's workforce, as well as an important force and talent resource for its reform and development. The company's Party Committee has always attached great importance to the work of veteran employees, and today's symposium is a meeting to hear their voices and discuss development together.

At present, the company is forging ahead around the strategic goal of "toward digitalization, toward new growth", and we hope that everyone will move in step and in the same direction, bringing the fine traditions and strong work style of the armed forces to their posts, and injecting powerful momentum into the company's development with iron discipline, tenacious fighting spirit and selfless dedication.

At the end of the meeting, Secretary Lian expressed three hopes and requirements:

First, lead by example and carry forward the company culture.He hoped that the veterans would continue to play an exemplary role, always maintain a rigorous work style, practical measures and a prudent attitude, and foster a positive, energetic working atmosphere.

Second, strive for excellence, achieve new success, and become top performers in professional skills.He encouraged everyone to strengthen their sense of innovation, develop innovative thinking, enhance their innovation capabilities, and continuously improve professional skills and management expertise to become experts in their respective fields.

Third, stay true to the original aspiration, shoulder the mission, and be a driver of the company's development.Everyone should keep responsibility in mind, on their shoulders and in their actions, actively serving as participants, practitioners and promoters of the company's development, and take CEEG's business to a new level.

Though they have traded their uniforms for new roles, their convictions remain. On this new battlefield, veterans are writing brilliant chapters of their own. They steadfastly safeguard CEEG's high-quality development, safe production in the manufacturing industry, and the craftsmanship of "Made in China"!
