Strengthening Foundations for a New Chapter, Forging Ahead to Open New Ground | CEEG Holds Party Committee (Expanded) Meeting

On December 2, the company's Party Committee held a grand expanded meeting at the Nanjing Operations Center, focusing on admitting probationary Party members, confirming probationary members as full members, and conducting Party discipline education. The meeting was chaired by Zong Hongqi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee. Gao Xiang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Assistant to the President, and Lian Junshan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the President's Office, attended. Party Committee members, representatives of relevant Party branches, membership candidates and probationary Party members also took part.

The meeting opened with all Party members standing solemnly before the Party flag, raising their right fists and taking the admission oath. The resolute voices of the oath impressed on everyone the seriousness and solemnity of joining the Party, further strengthening their ideals and convictions and their sense of responsibility.

Secretary Zong first outlined the meeting's main agenda and purpose, emphasizing the importance of Party member development. He noted that Party members are the cells of the Party's body and the mainstay of its activities, and that building the Party member workforce is a foundational task of enterprise Party building. The company must therefore strictly follow the Party Constitution in carrying out admission procedures and apply rigorous screening to ensure the quality and integrity of its Party member ranks.

Admission of Probationary Members

Two membership candidates reported to the Party organization on their ideological, work and study progress, and expressed their motivations and strong desire to join the Party. After introductions by their sponsors, thorough discussion among attending members and review by the Party Committee, Deng Yongchao and Liang Yuchen were admitted as probationary members of the CPC.

Confirmation of Probationary Members

Liu Yinlong reported to the Party organization on his ideological and work performance during the probationary period, his main strengths and weaknesses, and his studies, fully expressing his wish to be confirmed on schedule. After careful deliberation and a vote by the attending members, it was agreed that Liu Yinlong be confirmed as a full member on schedule, subject to approval by the higher-level Party working committee.

Secretary Lian congratulated the newly admitted and confirmed probationary members, stressing that as Party members they must maintain a firm political stance and stay ever mindful of discipline,keeping the Party in their hearts, responsibility on their minds and self-restraint in their conduct. He called on everyone to further strengthen their theoretical learning,supervise one another, surpass themselves and be "self-starters", and take the lead in driving the company's development.

Mr. Gao expressed his earnest hopes and set out requirements for the new members. He emphasized that as Communist Party members they must keep clear minds and firm convictions at all times, and continually improve their political character and professional competence. He required everyone tostay true to the original aspiration, keep the mission in mind, hold ideals while standing firm at their posts, and pursue innovation and excellence in their work, contributing youthful energy to the company's intelligent transformation, digital upgrade and healthy development.

In his concluding remarks, Secretary Zong said that as Party members, everyone shouldremember their "political birthday," bear in mind their "primary identity," and practice the "five renewals", namely:renewed awareness, further rectifying motivations for joining the Party;renewed clarity of duties, further shouldering the responsibilities at hand;renewed sense of value, further dedicating themselves to work that creates value through innovation;renewed discipline, further striving to grow from integrity and self-discipline into outstanding Communist Party members;and renewed exemplary role, further strengthening the vanguard and exemplary role of Party members!

The event not only injected fresh vitality and new strength into the company's Party organization, but also further enhanced the cohesion and unity of purpose of its members. In discussions, attending Party members declared that under the sound leadership of the Party Committee, all members will continue to carry forward the fine traditions and the positive, enterprising spirit,leading by example as "self-starters," creating value through innovation and standing at the forefront, contributing wisdom and strength to the company's high-quality, high-efficiency development!
