Shared vision and win-win cooperation. On February 21, Li Zechao, Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Computer Science and Engineering, School of Artificial Intelligence and School of Software of Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST); Cheng Cheng, Professor and Vice Dean of the School of Energy and Power Engineering; and Professor and doctoral supervisor Fan Desong visited CEEG for exchanges and guidance. They were warmly received by Gao Xiang, President's Assistant of CEEG, and Deputy Party Committee Secretary Lian Junshan.

Leaders' Speeches Open a New Journey, University-Enterprise Ties Draw the Blueprint

On behalf of the company, Secretary Lian extended a warm welcome to the visiting experts. He noted that NJUST upholds its motto of "diligent learning and earnest practice" and is committed to cultivating applied computer professionals with an innovative spirit and an awareness of the times, having trained large numbers of outstanding talents for the country and supplied many backbone forces to the electrical industry. The university plays an irreplaceable role in "AI+" basic research and frontier exploration, applied research and technology transformation, and interdisciplinary talent cultivation.

In recent years, CEEG has also actively explored "AI+" application development, continuously promoting the enterprise's transformation and upgrading. In terms of digital drive, we have actively deployed frontier technologies such as big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence, and built a digital platform covering the whole chain of energy production, manufacturing and sales, providing customers with more intelligent, efficient and safe energy solutions.

Technical Analysis Explores the Frontier, AI Empowers the Future

Director Qi delivered a keynote speech on "Smart Transformers and Energy Management", highlighting how CEEG smart transformers use AI technology for data collection, monitoring and management and optimize the platform's system architecture through energy consumption analysis to achieve more efficient, safer and more reliable power transmission.

Director Jia gave a presentation on "AI Transforms CEEG Manufacturing", detailing the current state of the company's informatization from the decision-making, application and equipment control layers. The company is committed to data-driven support for efficient collaboration, scientific decision-making and end-to-end process integration.

Director Su brought a presentation on "AI Empowers Marketing", explaining from a marketing perspective how AI helps CEEG achieve precision marketing, and how, by building solid foundational data and controlling data security, the company makes data intelligent and turns it into assets, improving customer experience and expanding market share.

Director Li gave a detailed introduction based on CEEG's solid industrial layout and intelligent manufacturing achievements, stressing that the enterprise develops from automation to digitalization and then to intelligentization, continuously raising the industry's "gold content", "innovation content" and "green content".

Exchanges Pool Wisdom, Industry-Academia Integration Creates Win-Win

Dean Li introduced the development of NJUST's "AI+" initiatives. He said that in enterprise production and manufacturing, the school retrains large models around enterprises' pain-point needs, enabling intelligent inspection, intelligent cockpits, intelligent prediction and more, and helping enterprises improve quality and efficiency.

Dean Cheng expressed high recognition of CEEG's AI development achievements. From the school's perspective, he said, professional content such as launch propulsion, energy and power, and fluid dynamics shares similarities with CEEG's technological development, and he looks forward to deepening industry-academia-research synergy with CEEG, establishing new mechanisms for talent cultivation and building a high-level talent training system oriented by industrial needs.

Professor Fan gave a special presentation on "Thermal Control Technology for Electronic Equipment", introducing the laboratory's series of research content and achievements, such as bionic core-shell structured particle-film thermal control technology and heat dissipation technology for distribution transformer compensators, professionally demonstrating the "seamless connection" between NJUST's scientific and technological innovation and CEEG's industrial innovation.

Director Wang said that de-engineering is an inevitable choice for the enterprise: beyond meeting functional requirements, product iteration and upgrading must also offer highlights and differentiation, which requires the support and backing of academic disciplines, and he looks forward to both sides achieving more results on issues such as high-density cabinet cooling and power supply.

Drawing on the plant's actual development situation, Director Wang offered suggestions on the directions of cooperation between CEEG and NJUST.

The two sides also exchanged views on enhancing technical development, optimizing intelligent manufacturing and other topics, sparking ideas in exchange, building consensus in discussion and broadening thinking through communication.

In his concluding remarks, Director Gao said that artificial intelligence is a strategic technology leading the future and the core driving force of the new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. NJUST continuously advances the substantive development of "AI+" against the backdrop of the new era, new situation and new demands, sounding the charge for "AI+" development.

CEEG looks forward to deepening cooperation with NJUST, jointly building an innovation ecosystem with deep "industry-academia-research-application" integration: jointly establishing R&D platforms to tackle key technical problems; jointly cultivating AI talent to build a high-quality talent team; and sharing innovation achievements to promote industrial transformation and upgrading, contributing strength to the development of the AI industry.
