Carrying Forward the Spirit of the War of Resistance, Uniting Strength to Forge Ahead | CEEG Party Committee Holds "9·3" Victory Day Parade Viewing Events Simultaneously in Three Locations

Remember history, honor the fallen, cherish peace, and open up the future. To solemnly commemorate the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, and to deepen patriotic education, the CEEG Party Committee held simultaneous collective viewing sessions in the conference rooms of three sites: the Operations Center, the Binjiang factory and the Jurong factory.

The company's Party committee members, Party members from all branches, middle managers and front-line employees entered the venues 15 minutes early to watch the live broadcast of the parade together.

At 9 a.m., the ceremony began on time. All employees stood at attention and sang the national anthem, then listened with reverence to the important speech delivered by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, President of the People's Republic of China and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, and watched the grand live broadcast of the parade. As neat formations and advanced equipment passed through Tiananmen Square one after another, the audience was awed by the spectacular scene, with warm applause breaking out from time to time.

This parade was the first since China fully entered the new journey of Chinese modernization, and a fresh showcase of the people's armed forces as they march toward the centenary of the PLA. At the parade, the foot formations reflected an "old and new" combination — both veteran units of the War of Resistance and a new structural layout of military forces; the equipment formations were organized in combat-oriented joint groupings covering land, maritime and other combat groups, with many new types of equipment making their public debut, fully demonstrating the latest achievements of China's national defense and armed forces development and their formidable combat capability.

By organizing the parade viewing, the CEEG Party Committee helped CEEG people feel with heart and soul the strong leadership of the Communist Party of China, the mighty bearing of the people's armed forces, and the splendid achievements of a prosperous country and a strong people, further igniting patriotic enthusiasm and motivation at work.

Even those away on official business or on the road as CEEG Party members made a point of watching the live broadcast of the "September 3 parade" through various means, expressing in practical action their pride in a stronger motherland and their lofty respect for the revolutionary forebears.
